According to atheists God does not exist. This is classical approach to atheism. Whether or not there is God, atheists deny Him at all costs. God is not something to be proved or disproved. It is a matter of belief. One should show flexibility in their beliefs. We are in different moods at different times of the day. Moods greatly impact our beliefs as well. It is not if He exists but it is all if we believe in Him.
If make your beliefs mood dependent, you will enjoy a spectrum of approaches to God. Your beliefs will modify as your aging. When we are young we are strong we need no crutches we can stand on our feet. As we get older we become weaker we need crutches for support and thus God is the greatest support.
In the morning I have fear and God just appear from picture. I have fear from dark so it night He enters in my imagination. I do not challenge my state of my mind. I accept what helps me to overcome my fears.
This flexible approach to God works for me. I hope it works for others as well.

the older I’ve gotten, the less I’ve needed gods that can’t be shown to exist. No need to play pretend anymore.
