The Big Crunch

“Well, if there are grammatical errors in my papers, I can’t help it: It’s a lot to think about the
uncertainty principle (UP). Even languages cannot get away with UP. There are intrinsic defects
an every language such as irregular verbs in English and,…” The master said.
“I don’t think so. You cannot blame UP for this. Maybe you’re just too lazy to learn new languages.”
The pupal interjected.
“My friend, you must read my novel, ‘Mr. Genius’. There I discussed in detail what a language
is.”
“Yes, I am reading it. There you talk about several interesting things. Can you, for example,
explain what you mean by an idea and a language?”
“The idea is identified with the Higgs field, which gives masses to particles; and the languages
are identified with the natural forces that we know in particle physics and maybe more. It’s
simple. Without an idea how you could create something, and language is something to do with
communication. Without communication how particles could interact.”
“Your novel raised several questions in my mind. You say that random walk is the most
expressive language, why?”
“Well, it is obvious. Take, for example, a square. If you want to draw a square, you have to make
sure all the sides are equal. Thinking is involved here while drawing a random trajectory
involves no thinking. Do another experiment. Do this experiment when you are in a very bad
mood. Take again a piece of paper and a pen. Again, draw a random walk. You will see you are drawing
very fast. You will also see that this process involves no thinking. When Mr. Genius destroyed
the universe, before that he was in a very bad mood.”
“OK, your story of Mr. Genius looks very interesting. I’m with you. We have all night for
discussions. Let me make another cup of coffee for you.
“Thank you.”
“You are welcome. I have an idea. May you read an excerpt from Mr. Genius.” The pupil said.
“Sure.” The master said.
The master turns over the pages and reads the following excerpt:
Mr. Genius was very famous all over the world. Journalists followed him all the time
like paparazzi. He had a very deep understanding of philosophy, mathematics, physics,
and much more. He knew almost everything. His theories were very interesting. He used
to deliver lectures. People loved to attend his talks.
Appreciation was making him even stronger. Every time he was appreciated, he would
come up with a new explanation of everything. He was carrying a notebook all the time.
Ideas occurred at him at any time. Anything he would write, he would rip that page off
from his notebook and throw it toward his nation. Those were messages for his
nation. He was also a magician. In times, he could fly.
One day he was heading to a university somewhere he was invited as a keynote speaker.
After reaching the campus, he had to walk to the physics department. On the way to the
department, he was surrounded by journalists as usual. It was a good time to find him.
The journalists were asking him questions, but he didn’t answer any questions and kept
walking quietly with his head down.
His mood would become unstable at any time. When that happened, he would start to
walk in a zigzag manner just like Brownian motion. It happened whenever he was in a
very bad mood. That day was also a bad day for him. He broke the circle around him by
the journalists and started to walk in a zigzag manner. Due to the mood instability, his
talks would have to be canceled most of the time as he could never reach the final
destination while following a Brownian trajectory.
Back to that day. The journalists lost him for a bit. As usual, he was carrying his
notebook. He ran toward an open space but very very fast. While reaching to the open
space, he jumped into the air and remained still there. He started to shake his head very
intensely and then started to take some notes in his notebook while still in the air. He then
ripped off that page and folded it several times. He threw that piece of paper into the air.
He was constantly looking at the flying piece of paper. While the piece of paper was still
flying, he pointed at it. The piece of paper came to a halt in the air.
He then started to shake his index finger, which caused the folded note to unfold and the
unfolded note then started to dance. He continued to vibrate his finger with higher and
higher frequencies. On one hand that process helped him to relax, but on the other hand,
the unfolded note, that was dancing, started to burn. His anger was not fully released. The
vibration process that helped him to relax went wrong. He turned extremely restless. The
index finger alone was no longer helpful to relax him. He started to dance shaking
intensely all part of his body. He started to enjoy this a lot, but the poor universe on the
other hand took fire. Not only him, but the entire universe burned. The suicide note that he
never wanted to write finally took his life.
“Here is my critique.” The pupil opened the discussion.
“Please!”
“In the novel, you tell us how the universe was destroyed. Can you tell us how the universe was
created?”
“My dear friend, the universe cannot be created, it can only be destroyed. Creation is the
aftermath of the destruction. When the old universe dies, a new universe follows to evolve. At
the end, humans appear who spread over the entire universe like a virus and destroy the universe
as a result of a war between them. Mr. Genius is one possible solution to end the world.”
