Why Is Infinity Not A Number (NAN)?

Infinity is so big that it does not have the first and/or the last digits. If does it would limit it making it a number.

Generally, it has no digit at n^th place. Meaning one cannot pinpoint any digit at any place. This is the property of numbers to have digits.
