The Fundamental Theorem of Life and Death Again

In the previous post, we dealt with the fundamental theorem of life and death (FTLD). Here we further elaborate on the components of LBD and lad. In Figure 1.1, we go from sleep to awake along two paths. The first path is from sleep to dream to awake. The second path is directly from sleep to awake. Path-1 is perceived by POV1 and path-2 is observed by POV3. One can understand that dream is a within property of sleep, but the question is how to explain the state of awake. We also noted in an earlier chapter that as DP wakes up, the states of sleep and dream collapse.

If we strictly follow the arrows, we see that along path-1, an arrow originates from sleep and terminates in the state of dream, and then another arrow comes from the state of dream and goes into the state of awake.  Thus, if the state of dream is a within property of sleep, the state of awake is a within property of dream. In other words, the state awake is a dream within a dream. The same goes for path-2, the state awake is a within property of sleep. One goes from one dream into another on and on till death happens.

In lad (see Figure 1.2), we arrive at the same conclusion. Along path-1, the state of alive is a within property of the state of dead, and the state of rising is a within property of the state of alive. Hence, the state rising is life within life. The same goes for path-2. The state of rising is a within attribute of the state of dead. This means life within death goes on and on till resurrection.

A clear distinction between LBD and lad is needed. How to tell if we are dreaming or having a life. In chapter one we remarked that awake is the state where the laws of physics are in place. But here we noted that the state awake is a dream within a dream. Since the state awake is a component of LBD and the state of alive is an element of lad, we can now tell the difference between LBD and lad. Since LBD involves dreaming, thus it is a form of existence where the laws of physics are bent. Whereas in lad these laws hold. An example of physical laws is the falling of an apple from a tree. We have never observed where an apple is going upward instead of falling on the ground. This is Newton’s law of gravitation where an apple is pulled by the gravitational field of the earth. To summarize this paragraph, we define two worlds. Let us call one world ‘this world’ denoted by W1, and ‘that world’ denoted by W2. W1 is the world of dreams and W2 is the world of the afterlife. Since we are living in a world where the laws of physics are in place, which is true for W2, therefore we are already experiencing the afterlife. When we die, we make a transition to the world of dreams (W1) where anything is possible. This is the world where any wish may come true!

As LBD is a dream within a dream and lad is a life within a life, there must be some entity who is either sleeping to have a dream or dead to have a life. Let us call that entity G. Let X, Y, Z, etc., be the characters in the dream of G. Similarly, x, y, z, etc., be the characters in the life of G. When G makes a transition from sleep to death, the characters X, Y, and Z transform into x, y, and z. Thus dying people transform into dead people and vice versa.

Lastly, there is a connection between G and its characters. According to FTLD, that connection is provided by the various POVs. We also observed that POV1 is a believer—he believes in G. Whereas POV2 is not sure while POV3 is a denier. Since they are various narrators, we call them the mediators of G. They tell stories about G from various points of view.
