One may say that a parent is always older and has more wisdom than their children. Initially, this is true but many years later, the child may look the same in age as their parents, Here age difference between the people remains the same but the ratio is changing.
Consider two people. One person, call it person A, is 20 years old, and the other person, call it person B, is 30 years old.. The age difference of A and B is 10 years. Now let’s check the ratio. The ratio of the ages is 20/30% = 67%.
Ten years later person A would be 30 years and B would be 40 years. The difference is still 10 years. But now the ratio is 30/40% = 75%. You see the ratio is increasing and reaching one or 100% after many years later.
From here we conclude that it is not the difference that matters but the ratio.
